How do you take the region’s largest, most-anticipated marketplace of creative, affordable handcrafted items and make it EVEN BETTER?

We had a few ideas!

If you’re going to “shop small,” we may as well go big. The 15th annual Handmade Arcade is pulling out all the stops with these awesome new additions, including expanded programs and helpful amenities:

Coat Check! That’s right — you no longer have to lug around your layers! Bask in sheer shopping comfort after you check your winter coat. Planning to do a LOT of shopping? (Way to knock out your holiday gift list!) You can check your bags too! Each item is $1. (Sorry, no in and out privileges.)

Shop the Pop-Up Makers Mart powered by EdCorps: Stock up on stocking stuffers, nab one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, and score new home décor presented by local makers and entrepreneurs in grades 3 through 12.

The Hatch Nest: Time out, everybody. We’ve set aside the perfect quiet space where children ages 6 and under can take a break. Let your youngest ones play, rest, relax, or just reset in between shopping sprees. The Hatch Nest will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and welcomes nursing moms. (Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult.)

Need a break? You’ll find tables and chairs awaiting you in the lobby. Gather your thoughts, share your finds with friends or get a second wind between shopping and making.

All of our expanded new programming can be found in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center lobby, as soon as you walk in.

And of course, everything you love best about Handmade Arcade will be back. Get ready to browse artwork, kitchen and home items, bath and body products, clothes, kid stuff, paper goods, jewelry, and so much more.

Make new things, meet new friends and support the cutting edge of craft on Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
And yes, admission is still free! We can’t wait to see you!
