We’re Chris and Marisa Janssen, aka CJ7 Designs. Originally from Lawrenceville and Baldwin, we embrace and celebrate what makes our hometown awesome. We also work hard to keep it beautiful through upcycling. Our unique home décor will wow mom, please dad, and be the talk of every gift recipient because of our form and function marriage in each item.
CJ7 Designs started working under the hood of our 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, so a lot of vintage auto parts are used in our décor items, giving them more visual miles than road miles. When the pandemic hit, our designs gave people a beautiful place to hang their masks and a cool always-reserved table for two made out of valve covers and truck parts. Grandfathers received personalized wooden ornaments commemorating their work in local steel mills of yesteryear. The increased family time was shared playing games around a wormy chestnut coffee
table, and schoolwork was done next to a vintage license plate pencil holder. Hundreds of items have been saved from the landfill due to our work, and thousands will never see a landfill because customers have chosen our reusable items over disposable.
With an appreciation for doing things by hand, each item is handmade and heart-made.
