Hello! I am Nichole, the owner and maker here at Crimson +Scarlett. I hand make all of my products out of my small basement studio in Moon Township, PA.
Crimson + Scarlett was born out of the need to keep my hands busy. At the time, my daughter, Riann, had just turned one, and my husband was embarking on a drastic career change…the Air
Force and would be leaving for 8 months. So what does one do when you are about to become a single parent for almost a year? Start a business! (no? just me??) I guess I just needed
something to call my own aside from my role as a mom.
I was already a quilter, so C+S was originally planned to be a quilt shop. I came to realize. However, quilts take A LOT of time, and with my new role as a single mom, I didn’t have the
time or energy and quickly became frustrated, so my shop sat empty for a while. Fast forward a while later, a few of my friends started building their essential oil businesses. My friend had asked me to make her a couple of oil bags to take to a craft show with her, and that was that! Making oily bags was so much fun (and something I could feasibly accomplish with my limited time). I decided not to stop, and Crimson + Scarlett as we know it today was officially born!
I have since expanded my product line to offer some ‘not so oily’ items as well, like makeup bags, lipstick pouches, and our BEST SELLER hand sanitizer keychains, so give my shop a
peek even if you don’t use essential oils!
