ABOUT ME:

Hello, you’ve landed at 1flychicken creations. I’m Meghan Tutolo, the owner and artist behind the brand. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where I’ve been making things ever since I can remember—it was the only way I could sit still. 1flychicken creations has been official since 2017. It all began with my passion for gift gifting and for sending “mail surprises” to my family and friends. From the many varieties of media that I use to create, it’s no secret that I want to make ALL THE THINGS!

ABOUT THE PRODUCTS:

I like to think of my brand as a gift shop…without the shop. I create quirky vinyl stickers, greeting cards, art prints, and a vast assortment of pins and magnets that I press individually with a professional machine. All of my packaging is done by hand, too, and with a fine attention to detail to create the perfect presentation for gifting. But that isn’t all. Recently, I fell in love with stained glass. Although these pieces are the most challenging work that I do, glass has quickly become a large part of 1flychicken creations. I specialize in a modern geometric aesthetic but also include some fun Pittsburgh icons in my own designs. I mean, who doesn’t need a stained glass pickle in their window?

My muses include animals (especially cats), Pittsburgh, outer space and the moon, retro vibes, nerdy themes, geometric designs, and activism. All of my work embodies a very genuine, upfront expression of empathy, human rights, and equality. I’m always thinking about ways to use art for helping and healing—sometimes it’s as simple as a pin, magnet, or bumper sticker that lets someone know they have an ally.
