ABOUT ME:
Hello and welcome! My name is Abby and I am a studio potter living and working in beautiful Western Massachusetts. I’ve been producing small batch, colorful handmade ceramics since 2010. I make all of my work on the potter’s wheel from a sturdy white stoneware clay and I decorate each piece by hand with a variety of techniques. My main design inspirations come from children’s books and textile patterns. I am particularly fond of using vintage florals and novelty prints as a jumping off point for my designs. I have a lifelong love of all things bright and rainbowy and I love to incorporate this aesthetic into my work. I am so excited to be participating in Handmade Arcade for the first time!
ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
My work is made by hand from start to finish with everyday use in mind. I use a creamy white stoneware clay decorated with hand-drawn illustrations and patterns. Each piece is finished with a food-safe clear glaze that I mix myself, then fired in my electric kiln to a perfectly glossy finish to emphasize the bright colors. My work is microwave and dishwasher safe. I aim to make work that will brighten up your day and feel great in your hands. Thank you for checking out my cozy and cute gifts for all ages!
