ABOUT ME:
Greetings and salutations! My name is Matt Buchholz and I run Alternate Histories, the most monsterrific website on the internet! I’ve lived in Pittsburgh since 2008 and been vending at Handmade Arcade since 2011. I’m inspired by the low-budget science fiction movies I watched as a kid and I love applying that goofy sensibility to greeting cards, calendars, prints, and more. I think everything is better with monsters and I hope you agree!

ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
I find vintage maps, photos, and other ephemera and then digitally add monsters, robots, zombies, and other sci-fi creatures to create new greeting cards, books, calendars, t-shirts, and more! I have a new book, NIGHT OF THE MONSTERS, which is great fun for kids, along with tons of Pittsburgh-centric work and a new 2022 Calendar. I’m certain you can find a gift or card for just about anyone! I’ve added some new products and restocked some old favorites for Spring, so I hope you’ll find something for the monster-lover in your life!
