About me: Welcome to the Barker’s Heirlooms maker page! My name is Tamara Barker. I’ve been selling handmade items at craft shows and artisan markets since 1987 and have been making my current product line featuring my art and upcycled designs since 2006. I spend much of my free time scouring thrift stores, flea markets, and estate sales to find pieces I can breathe new life into by incorporating them into my designs. I’m an old-school goth girl, a fan of horror movies, and have a quirky & punny sense of humor, all of which influence my designs.
About my products: I make upcycled home decor and original art items featuring my collages made from hand-cut and layered images. Thrifted china plates become a canvas for phrases and art, and I also make delightfully fragrant hand-poured soy candles in china tea cups. Other products include printed tea towels, tote bags, magnets, & vinyl stickers.
