Welcome to Buttercup and Thistle Soap Shop’s web page!  My name is Emily Shedlock and I have been making soaps and body products for 14 amazing years.   My company started from my kitchen in Mt. Lebanon out of a necessity to afford our first child’s private preschool tuition.  We have forged many wonderful relationships at the Handmade Arcade markets, and have worked hard to open our very own brick and mortar shop located in McMurray, Pennsylvania.  We specialize in hand poured goats milk soaps, perfect for all skin types, and have grown into a complete spa line of products including hand whipped body butters, emollient lip and cuticle balms, solid beeswax lotion sticks and body sprays, just to name a few.  Every product is made in small batches by me and by hand, to ensure that the very best ingredients and care are used to prepare your items.  every soap is hand wrapped in beautiful papers that I’ve collected over the years, making each soap perfect for gift giving.  I look forward to seeing you at Handmade Arcade, and introducing you to Buttercup and Thistle Soaps..
