We are a student run business in the Baldwin Whitehall School District, south of Pittsburgh. We have business meetings once a week and communicate with our teacher mentor, Kristy Frohliger, through Google Classroom and Meets. The 6th grade business owners from last year are now our mentors and have made instructional as well as inspirational videos to help us, as new 5th grade owners learn the ins and out of running a business. Through this club, we learn 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, communication and collaboration.
WHAT WE SELL
For this event, twenty 5th graders and 6 sixth grade mentors are making products to keep you safe during Covid. Through using the sublimation process, images are designed then heat pressed onto hand sanitizer keychains, lip balm keychains, phone grips and no contact keys! We are designing and making all products from home this year to ensure that not an order is missed, if school has to go to remote learning.
DONATING TO CHARITY
The money earned goes to non-profit organizations of our choice, projects for our school and other educational opportunities. We have chosen to donate to the Homeless Children’s Education Fund to start off the year.
We, as student entrepreneurs, are excited to share and sell our products to you, check out our website www.shopbwcreations.com .
