ABOUT ME:
Welcome to my Cavatica Designs maker page! I’m Courtney DeYoung, and I’ve been creating my jewelry collection for over 15 years. During this time, I have traveled all over the country to participate in hundreds of art shows. Being a show artist has enabled me and my family to have many great adventures. However, a few years ago, I decided to embrace a slower pace and moved to a remote cabin deep in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. I continue to participate in a few shows a year and focus more on online sales. My days are spent working in my home studio, walking mountain trails, and caring for a small flock of chickens.

ABOUT MY DESIGNS:
My technique for jewelry design is a collaboration of my favorite mediums and various skills acquired from my fine arts background. Cavatica Designs is a thoughtfully crafted collection of ceramic jewelry. My process is slow and sincere. I create each pendant one piece at a time in my home studio. I approach my work with a strong connection to process, skill, and materials, holding artisanship in high regard. My designs are hand-formed from ceramic clay, kiln-fired, and carefully hand-painted with an eye for fine detail and vibrant color. If you have any questions about my work, please contact me.
