Hi! Welcome to Corchet. My name is Corry Laughlin. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA I was taught to crochet doilies by my grandma over fifteen years ago. I have now progressed to crafting an assortment of items including stuffed animals, hats, trivets, coaster sets, cactus plants, and more. I hope to inspire nostalgia with my unique crocheted items and create memories for a new generation.

I love hunting for materials wherever I can find them. Whether its funky yarn or vintage beer cans un-earthed from bucolic settings of Ohio and Kentucky or beautiful crochet thread discovered in the hustle-and-bustle of New York City, each unique piece is made up of materials that come together from many different places. By merging vintage materials and patterns with the modern, I hope to continue a long-held tradition passed along to me, while at the same time make it more appealing to modern audience.

When not crocheting, you can find me outdoors working as a professional field archaeologist. My work has me travel extensively throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, where I find inspiration and materials for my fiber-art.
