About me:
Welcome to Gelme’s designs store. I came to the US many years ago from Lithuania and brought with me my passion to create beautiful things with my hands. I have sewn, knitted, and crocheted since I was a little girl. I’ve always liked to make my own clothes. In the last decade, I fell in love with felting as it combines all my craft abilities together. All my things are made from wool, silk, and all other fibers. Every fiber is placed by hand to felt, weave, and kind of paint like into the fabric which then is shaped in other forms. I love felting as it is the process that does not produce waste, and everything can be used and reused many times, shaping and reshaping into various products.
About products:
I present mostly accessories at this time, but I make coats, jackets, dresses, and interior pieces as well, but I think accessories can transform any outfit. All my products are one of the kind; they never can be repeated exactly, even by me because of the nature of the felting process and the different conditions which affect it. They can be worn in diverse ways and will never go unnoticed.
