Ian M Petrie Ceramics

I make handbuilt, illustrated pottery that is equally at home on the wall or on the table. All images are my own original drawings which I sketch out on paper and then ink and edit digitally. These illustrations are then taken through a unique screenprinting process and ultimately printed on newsprint with a special ceramic ink. These prints are then transferred onto slab-built pottery using a slip-transfer. Finally, my pieces are glazed with a fully microwave, dishwasher, and food-safe clear glaze.
