I’m Jeanne Cherry, the artist behind juNxtaposition®, a Pittsburgh based
small business housed in my vintage farmhouse studio, (where I also live) outside the city.
I’ve been running this business for 17 years this month !
When not immersed in all things ‘maker’, I am out taking photos, telling stories
& enjoying life. I have been doing some sort of ‘art’ for over 40 years now and what a journey it has been.

My products
juNxtaposition® is a jewelry and home~style brand
with a lean towards the simple bohemian lifestyle.
My eco~luxury jewelry line incorporates found objects
with new findings for an understated, simple design in
hopes of encouraging a confident spirit and attitude
in all who don my designs. I feel I am bringing a sense
of old soul and grace to inspire a new positive consciousness
and love of the old I get to scour fleas, antique shops, & even scrap yards
for my materials & it is truly my favorite thing to do.
There is nothing like a good junk hunt! Foraging for that
perfect unique item to ‘save’ and turn into something fun is an
enviable occupation. I am a without a doubt a silverware hoarder,
and I have an extensive collection of vintage silver plate.
The workmanship and designs of days gone by never fails to fascinate me.
I take each item and stamp messages letter by letter
combining my love of words in general with what I call ‘soul shine’,
quirky expressive statements meant to bring joy to the recipient.
(perfect for gifting) My dictionary prints have shown up on walls in homes
and offices around the world, simple, sweet, inspirational, graphic design
that works in all environments.
