Karen Coston Jewelry

The Startrail Collection was initially inspired by time-lapse photography of the constellations. Star trail photos are created using a long exposure time in a fixed location. The results create ephemeral sweeping imagery that the stars leave behind as they trek across the sky. Each piece in the Karen Coston Jewelry Startrail Collection is a one of a kind roll print and, like the stars, no two are ever the same.

I received a BFA in textile design from Moore College of Art and Design and an MFA in mixed media from Howard University. I’m based in Charm City (Baltimore) where I design and produce the entire Karen Coston line with love, inspiration from everything around me and faith in the universe.
