ABOUT US
Welcome to the KerfCase Virtual Marketplace! I am Founder and CEO Benjamin Saks. We are a team of passionate designers who believe in making quality products to enhance the everyday. What is “kerf,” you might ask? In woodworking, Kerf is the thickness of material removed from a saw blade, usually measured in 1/1000 of an inch. Making familiar accessories from unconventional materials requires a level of extreme precision, so I chose Kerf to represent our brand because it’s everything we are: precise, finicky, and obsessed with perfection.
Our mission to promote sustainable practices is reflected in our headquarters, an updated historic building that we gave a new lease on life. KerfCase HQ is based in Wilmerding, PA, a small manufacturing town about 12 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh. Our facility is in a building that was built as a social hall and spent nearly 80 years as a church. We have repurposed the building into our design, production, and office space.
