ABOUT ME:
Hi and welcome to MHeld Illustration! My work is where the macabre and the beautiful intersect, resulting in a surreal little baby that cries all the time but is also perfectly helpless and warm. I am fascinated by the gothic and the occult and by the ways in which those sometimes ominous ideas and feelings can be unexpectedly beautiful, and even comforting.
ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
Every illustration is inspired by nature and features intricately bold folk art motifs. While many original paintings are available to purchase, my primary focus is custom-framed prints in meticulously curated, unique, and often vintage frames that I collect. I refit each frame by hand and restore the backing and hardware. I want unique and mesmerizing art to be accessible for everyone’s home.
