Part-time Poodle

Toot toot! Beep Beep!
Part-time Poodle is a small-batch, handmade garment business based in Pittsburgh, Pa. The intention is to dress humans as fun and playful as a poodle with a fancy hairdo!
Our clothing falls into two categories: Upcycled pieces and Juicy pants. The one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces are made from secondhand fabrics including yardage and household linens, which are then constructed into dresses, shorts, button-down shirts, pants, sweatshirts, etc. Working with different sizes of fabric allows us to be creative and offer unique pieces that vary in shape, size, color, and pattern. The linens we source are washed, dyed, patched-up, cut, and sun-bleached during the creation process. For a little extra frill, many are paired with vintage trims, ribbons or buttons. Always easy to wear, always comfortable. Jump, roll, cartwheel, snooze like a little pood in your cute clothes.
Our second offering, the Juicy Pants, are an elastic waist, wide-leg, richly dyed linen pant (and now shorts!) with large pockets designed to look like fruit. They are both striking and comfortable while using a natural fiber that softens beautifully over time. So far we have made lemons, limes, olives, tomatoes, oranges, mushrooms, disco balls, moons, limes, flowers, and carrots!
Often, household goods like pillows, stockings, bags, or small quilts are sewn up with scraps from our garment projects, so you can scatter a little poodle all over your living quarters.
Part-time Poodle’s goal is to create clothing that is sustainable and wearable, but still colorful and fun!
