ABOUT US:
Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) has grown to be one of the premier glass facilities in the U.S., a vibrant contributor to Pittsburgh’s thriving cultural landscape, and an integral member of the East End neighborhood.

At Pittsburgh Glass Center we cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment that encourages everyone, from the casually curious to the master artist, to learn, create, and be inspired by glass. We share our passion for glass locally and globally to advance a more diverse, vibrant, and accessible glass art community.

GLASS ART: WE TEACH IT. WE CREATE IT. WE PROMOTE IT. WE SUPPORT THOSE WHO MAKE IT.

“An important part of our mission is to cultivate, nurture, and support diverse and passionate glass artists and expand opportunities for them to make and exhibit their work in Pittsburgh and beyond,” says Heather McElwee, the Randi & L. Van V. Dauler, Jr. Executive Director at Pittsburgh Glass Center.

ABOUT THE SHOP:

The Shop at Pittsburgh Glass Center offers a wide array of handmade works by our growing community of talented glass artists. We also offer fun make-at-home art kits so everyone in the family can have an opportunity to work with glass. Every purchase from our store supports both Pittsburgh Glass Center and the local glass artists who contribute to and strengthen our community.
Over 50 artists have moved to Pittsburgh to live and make their art at Pittsburgh Glass Center. They join our existing community of professional and aspiring glass artists that take classes at the center each year.  Together they make up a vibrant community of glass artists, some now opening their own studios.
