Oh, hi there!
Thanks for stopping by Stitches & Sass! I’m Sharon Weatherford, the maker of everything you see here. I make fun and cheeky accessories for babies and pets. I started my business in 2016 but have been sewing for over 20 years. Needing a hobby, I started making quilts for expectant moms. That soon became very labor intensive, so I made smaller baby accessories I could create more easily. After a while, people suggested that I sell them, so Stitches & Sass was born! I am completely obsessed with my animals—and your animals—so I wasn’t sure why I wasn’t making accessories for pets. About a year into my business, I started the pet line. I love the happiness that comes from your dog or cat wearing a bow tie. It seriously makes my day!

Here’s what I make:
I believe things should be 100% fun but also functional. Most of my items have more than one feature in order to make them multi-use. All my bandanas are reversible and adjustable. The cat kickers have catnip & silvervine AND they are stuffed with recycled filler. And the baby bibs are waterproof.

For babies, I create waterproof bandana bibs, organic teething rings, and gift sets.

For pets, I make reversible and adjustable bandanas, bow ties, organic paw wax, and I sell an amazing dog shampoo bar that I developed with a local soap maker, The Oakley Soap Co. In response to my new kittens Juniper & Elwood, I added cat kickers to my line and plan on developing more cat toys in the future!
