ABOUT ME:
Welcome to Subversive Image. I’m Jeff, the owner of this shop. In 2017 I tried to sell some designs to tattoo shops and a friend suggested that they might do better as linoleum block prints. I recalled a project from a high school art class and started carving. I don’t use a press, so all of my block prints are pressed by hand. I’m inspired by medieval block prints, mythology, the tarot, lowbrow art, and punk and metal culture.

ABOUT MY WORK:
My clothing is art you can wear. And yes, you can wash it. Much of my clothing is printed using the same hand-carved blocks I use to make the fine art prints. Last year I started screen printing and making tie-dye effects with bleach. I use household products and I make sure the bleach is neutralized.

My notebooks are a collaboration with a friend. Together we pair tarot cards with Rock’n Roll stars. I print the covers and she binds them.
