Sugar Pop Press

Greetings and welcome to the Sugar Pop Press maker page! My name is Leslie, and I am an Appalachian printmaker working under the moniker Sugar Pop Press. I create colorful and whimsical images with a lighthearted retro vibe. A lot of my work is rooted in the magic of growing up in Appalachia. I spent my childhood playing in the woods and backstreets of a little pottery town in the tiptop of West Virginia. While time and industry have forgotten much of what that community has to offer, the environment and the people of that small town have left a lasting impression on me and the work that I create.

I put a focus on using high-quality, eco-friendly materials. My prints are created using water-based inks on recycled paper. Each of my prints are pulled by hand, one color at a time, in my home studio located in Morgantown, West Virginia.
