Tara Root Illustrations

Hi! My name’s Tara Bagley and I’m a watercolor and mixed media artist and illustrator. I also do some paper crafts as well, including bookbinding, primarily turning old books into sketchbooks. My primary subjects in my work are landscapes, still life, and architecture, but I’m always experimenting and love playing with color and just having fun!

I’ve always been an artistic person, but during COVID, I needed to find something to fill my time. Watercolor came naturally to me, but as the years have passed, I’ve expanded and practiced in different mediums, including gouache, digital work, pencils, markers, and everything in between! I even taught myself different forms of bookbinding, now creating my own sketchbooks. Having a hobby turn into some level of income has been an challenging and fulfilling adventure!
