ABOUT ME:
Welcome to The Happy Groundhog Studio! My name is Melissa Bracken and I have been creating art my entire life. I was inspired by my grandmother, who taught me to sew, and I took her guidance and attended art school in Cincinnati. I make my Huggable Art Stuffed Plushie for all ages of art lovers, animal lovers, and the stuffed animal obsessed! Reusing materials like sweaters and turning them into sweet little stuffed animals makes me happy. ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
I create whimsical stuffed creatures from eco-friendly felts made from recycled water bottles, upcycled sweaters, and fabrics. All fabrics are cut by hand and many pieces are hand sewn. All animals and monsters are unique since they are made from recycled materials. Many of them have pockets on their bellies, which can hold felt food, the ornament-sized critters, gift cards, or notes. These critters can be washed on a gentle cycle, (just like you would a sweater), air dried, and fluffed in the dryer.
