Welcome to the Treksalot maker page! My name is Michael Paul and I’m the creative and silly guy behind the curtain. I’ve always loved to doodle and sketch in my free time, and I’m also a sucker for adventure travel. During a year-long trip in 2013, I started a travel blog (which lasted a few weeks) with the alias ‘Treksalot’. Fast forward to 2018 and some extensive travel (and ideas) under my belt, I decided to start designing prints based on my globetrotting. As an avid hiker and animal lover, I focus on integrating country-specific landmarks and details, as well as animals I’ve interacted with along the way. I’m also very Japanese inspired and thus the creations tend to drift outside the realm of reality at times. Thank you for stopping by! 😊
ABOUT MY PRODUCTS:
My main focus is prints of varying sizes, but I’ve slowly expanded into other complementary products including postcards, stickers, magnets, pins, ornaments, T-Shirts and other home goods. All my designs are inspired by trips I’ve had the pleasure to take (domestically and internationally) and combine magical landscapes with friendly beasts. Additionally, most of the designs include the two main characters (somewhat hidden in the details) Alistair Treksalot and his Maine coon cat Purna (loosely based on myself and my fluffy childhood cat Bean), as well as my little mountain logo.
