Check out Songbird Artistry’s amazing new series, “Be Social While Distant.” Participants can purchase a craft kit and then participate in a Zoom session to “socialize” while making art. This new take on a craft class allows you to enjoy crafty camaraderie from the safety of your home. (Socially distant pickup or delivery is available within 10 miles)
While visiting their website, be sure to also check out their “Pay it Forward Kits.” If you are able to do so, you can purchase a kit that will be given to a community member who is experiencing financial hardship, allowing them to participate in an online crafting social.
Hatch Art Studio:
A bright and welcoming art and play studio in Point Breeze, Hatch has created some fun ways for parents and their children of all ages to get creative at home.
Check out their video series with creative ideas for using what you have or can find in nature to keep kids crafty while at home.
Hatch is also offering “On the Go Kits.” Delivery is available within 10 miles; kits can also be picked up during Saturday “yellow bench-side” contactless pickup times.
Hatch owner Shannon Merenstein also publishes a comprehensive weekly guide for Learning at Home through Art and Play on Art Bar Blog.
