The Holiday Market returns on December 6-7 to Pittsburgh’s David L. Lawrence Convention Center

Makers are our mission.

Handmade Arcade empowers makers of all ages by providing them with professional development and connections to customers

We are a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit that believes in the power of making.

We’ve grown a lot since our very first market back in 2005 at Construction Junction, but these things are still true: we never take a cut of our makers’ earnings, we’re powered by a fleet of volunteers, and we need you (yes, you!) to help us continue to support our region’s creative entrepreneurs.

Handmade Arcade started 20 years ago with a group of indie crafters looking for a place to sell their wares.

In the past two decades, we have produced:

  • 25 markets

  • 8 Virtual Markets & Catalogs

  • 7 Youth Maker Accelerator cohorts

  • 1 BIPOC Maker Accelerator cohorts

We’ve connected 3,000+ maker businesses with over 215,000 shoppers at our events.

The results?

Over $4 million in self-reported maker sales.

“I’m tremendously grateful HA exists in Pittsburgh, both as an event and organization. It’s one of the few events I do and is invaluable in growing my audience and an impactful source of revenue at the end of the year. I’m honored to be included with such a strong lineup of vendors and unreservedly promote it as one of the best community, shopping, making events in Pittsburgh! Mad props to the organizers for making it what it is — you really do an exceptional job.”
