Photos by a Carpenter is the tag line for Archie Carpenter , Photographer. Just over an year ago I discovered creating monotypes also known as monoprints using a process that incorporates a Gel Printing Plate , where I take an image I have photographed and transferring it first to a plate using paint and then to paper, resulting in a unique image that cannot be reproduced. This medium has given me the opportunity to revisit images I photographed at the beginning of my career as well as newly create photos from assignments or iPhone photographs and everything in-between.
