Funky Pickle Art is a small art business created by Kayley Messner. She is a ceramic artist who uses her experience and knowledge from being a ceramic intern at Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media into her work. Her wares range from non-functional, such as ornamental and decorative ceramics, to functional ceramics such as mugs, bowls, plates, magnets, spoon rests, and many more household items. Her work explores many different themes but maintain the same unique style of detail underglaze paintings on these wares. These themes include nature, coquette aesthetic items, fruits, and other designs/patterns that correlate with similar themes. She has a distinctive style that has evolved over her few years making ceramics. Her style is playful, fun, and colorful and she hopes that people are able to have that same joy using her work, too.
