Meet the Maker: Tufting has traditionally been seen as a commercial practice primarily for making floor rugs. However, I use tufting to create vibrant, dimensional works of art as wall hangings, sculptural pieces, furniture, and functional art. Color and texture greatly inspire me, and I enjoy exploring how they can stimulate the senses. With the right combination of colors and materials, my doodles transform into art pieces that invite touch and interaction. I approach my creative process as an exploration, often free handing my imagery and developing my designs as I go.
