Meet the Maker: Mostly self-taught with over 35 years of experience, the core of all my designs are simple seed beads utilizing a series of basic stitches in combination with free-form beading. When the occasion suits, gemstone and other unique beads are also incorporated into the designs. This approach allows for a broad range of color, style and fit that allows the pieces to work with a wide range of body shapes and style sensibilities. My tagline “From fun to formal” reflects the two main collections that I produce. The first collection is on the “formal” end with intricate beadwork that mimics the look and feel of fabric. This collection has an audience of all genders, usually 30-60 year-old professionals, who like to wear unique statement jewelry and accessories. The “fun” collection is a series of whimsical earrings with designs ranging from Tacos to Rabbits and other critters, to Aliens Abducting Cows and various cryptids. This collection appeals to a broad audience, especially to those who are not yet ready to invest in pieces from the more formal collection. The two collections are tied together with the idea that one should wear what makes them happy.
