Meet the Maker: Since I was a child I would color, paint, build, and create. Creating with my hands is not just something I do, it is my life. Most of my days are spent creating whimsical clothing using repurposed materials. I believe in reusing anything you can, and my little contribution is repurposing discarded clothing. I love to shuffle through racks at thrift stores gathering clothes that will be given a new life. I wash, cut, and rework the material using my own patterns to make a great skirt, scarf, hat, or pair of gloves that someone will love even more than the original item. Each piece I create is then ""drawn"" on using a free motion sewing machine. This process allows me to draw with the machine and create a one of a kind image on the piece. As an artist and a maker, I value making art that is accessible, inclusive, exciting. All of my work is size-inclusive and made to be worn on any body, for any occasion. Whether out to breakfast with friends, weeding the garden, or going to the local art show, these pieces are made for every part of the day.
