Graphite Glassworks
Ellie Durham-Britton (they/she) is a queer, non-binary stained glass artist local to Pittsburgh. Their award-winning works seek to depict the magic found in oral folktales and the world around us with an equal dose of whimsy and meticulousness. With a formal scientific background in archeology and mathematics, they find tremendous joy in learning about plants, animals, rocks, and geometry, and they frequently incorporate natural materials such as agate slices and ammonites into the works they produce through their small business, Graphite Glassworks. Ellie is a part of the 2025 cohort of Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh Emerging Artists, and they are an instructor in stained glass and fused glass at the Pittsburgh Glass Center.
