As Feral Grandmother Artistry, I utilize skulls, bones, mosses, flowers and recycled wood among other things to create unique paintings and sculptures. My work stands a bit apart from other creators. I enjoy juxtaposing Dark Art subjects together with bright bold colors and geometric shapes. Spray paint is my chosen medium for its ability to provide brilliant blended gradients and detailed color compositions. I enjoy using salvaged lathe and common pine to create my canvases and handmade frames. My favorite focal points for my paintings are skulls that I intricately hand paint in a variety of tiny detailed patterns.
I also create dainty taxidermy and geometric jewelry. My creative process includes drilling through teeth, claws, wings and bones. I then combine these with metal charms and findings to make unique earrings and necklaces. I use four different finishes for my wearable creations; Antique copper, antique silver, antique brass, and gunmetal.
