Jellum Design is a Pittsburgh based furniture company that specializes in handmade, modular furniture and was created by designer / fabricator Ken Camden and communications / marketing director Laura Jellum. Jellum designs modern furniture to fit any space. These handcrafted pieces are fully adaptable, providing you with unique customization options for your home. Our designs are inspired by the color palette of Ray Eames, the spatial interplay of classical Japanese architecture, and the brutalist concrete architecture of Le Corbusier. These are combined with a sense of playfulness and a desire to change and manipulate one’s surroundings to meet their functional and aesthetic needs. Jellum manufactures hand crafted kinetic sculpture as well as furniture. These constantly changing pieces of sculpture continue the theme of adaptability and change. Both the sculpture and furniture are primarily made of wooden elements from a variety of species. These inviting materials are combined with a modern aesthetic and functionality to create pieces of design that remain both beautiful and useful throughout the owner’s lifetime.
