ABOUT ME: Thank you for visiting my maker page! I’m Beth Voltz, and I started Ragtrader Vintage in 2005. I’ve always had a fascination with vintage salvaged treasures, probably born from long ago when my Mom let me play pretend with broken jewelry bits, antique trinkets found on our farm, or the hand-me-downs from my four older sisters. I loved discovering the history hiding in each discovery – the more patina and character, the better! And now, vintage-inspired jewelry pieces have taken over every surface of our generational farmhouse – and my 9 siblings have enjoyed helping me create jewelry so much, that Ragtrader has quickly blossomed into a family business. We are so blessed to have this opportunity to create the jewelry that we love – with the people that we love – with the goal of supporting our historic family farm. And yes, our farm is one of “those” farms where people know they can drop off their unwanted pets! But most importantly, this venture helps us support each other and our aging parents that we adore. ABOUT MY PRODUCTS: Ragtrader Vintage breathes new life into vintage designs. I resurrect vintage treasures like typewriter keys, cameos, compasses and dissected vintage costume jewelry – plus also newer finds, antiqued to the vintage aesthetic I love. Every day, I’m amazed by the diversity of our followers: from the young and trendy to the older nostalgic; perhaps a steampunk aficionado or eclectic rebel; or a gentlemen accessorizing with a pocket watch or cufflinks; or classic lady needing a monocle to read the menu on a formal night out.
