About the Modern Craft Market
Launching in 2026, Handmade Arcade’s new Modern Craft Market, supported by Contemporary Craft and Pittsburgh Glass Center, is a juried shopping event celebrating where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge design. This new Handmade Arcade-hosted market will connect shoppers, craft collectors, and retail and industry partners with some of the best contemporary craft makers and artists from around the country.
The 2026 Modern Craft Market will feature over 100 makers and artists representing twelve states, including Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Ohio, Maryland, Michigan, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Maine, and New York. Each maker will sell contemporary handcrafted goods spanning a wide variety of artistic categories, including furniture, glass, basketry, ceramics, wearable and decorative fiber and textiles, jewelry, metal, and more.
What to Expect
Shop
Shop for one-of-a-kind, handcrafted goods created by over 100 makers and artists. You’ll discover furniture, glass, ceramics, fiber arts, and much more.
Learn
Watch artists bring handcrafted goods to life through demonstrations, including glass blowing with Pittsburgh Glass Center, woodturning with Turners Anonymous, loom weaving with the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh, and wood carving with Adiante Franszoon of Wood Designs by Adiante.
Make
Explore paper-processing techniques with students from Carlow University, and create your own fiber arts patch with Imani Batts from Catherine Trendz and Nisha Blackwell from Knotzland.
